TWIN TIERS (WENY) -- Go over and give your pooch a smooch Tuesday, it's National Dog Day!
The 'howliday', yes howliday, started in 2004 to encourage the adoption and bring attention to the high number of dogs in shelters.
Our friends over at the Chemung County SPCA are always ready to help you meet your new furry friend. They're open 5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM-4:30PM at 2435 Street Route 352 in Elmira, New York. Call 732-1827 for more info or go to their website,
Tune to Good Morning Twin Tiers every Monday morning to meet the adorable adoptable pet of the week.
But first, check out this video from Tuesday morning's GMTT broadcast, for a look at just a few of the cute canines right here in the Twin Tiers.
Thank you to our viewers for sending in their photos for National Dog Day!
