Poll Finds Most New Yorkers Support Medical Marijuana Use

Medical Marijuana

A new poll from Quinnipiac University says 88% of New Yorkers support legalizing medical marijuana and 57% support making it legal for recreational use.
Poll researchers spoke to 1488 New York voters over the phone between February 6-10th.
Poll Director, Maurice Carroll says a narrow majority doubt that legalizing marijuana will lead to harder drug use and about half say marijuana is no worse than alcohol.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has said he'll launch a limited hospital-based medical marijuana program, but is against a full legalization bill.
