New Cafe And Juice Bar On Market Street

Corning (WENY) -- There's a new place to get food on Corning's Market Street. Located within the Beyond Baskets store, The Palate Café and Juice Bar offers a healthy alternative to regular dining.

It features everything from fresh fruit smoothies and wheatgrass shots, to soups and salads -- all using local ingredients.

The new café is run by 24-year-old Laura Dickerman, who is no stranger to operating a business. Her parents own Beyond Baskets where she also has her own line of bath and body products, but the café is her new focus.

"We're going to add some more items to the menu," Dickerman said. "Actually, this week I already added 18 new juices and about seven more smoothies, more food and more seating."

The café and juice bar are open weekdays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
