Written By: Candice Cole
MANHATTAN---(WENY) Funeral arrangements are set today for former Mayor, Ed Koch. The service will be held at Temple Emanu-El on Manhattan's upper east side. He'll be laid to rest in Trinity Church Cemetery, where he purchased a plot five years ago, saying he did "not want to leave Manhattan".
Koch served three terms as mayor, beginning in 1978. The subway station at East 77th Street and Lexington Avenue will be re-named "Mayor Ed Koch subway station" -said to be Koch's favorite stop, where he often campaigned.
The beloved former New York City Mayor died Friday morning of congestive heart failure at age 88.
