Sen. Gillibrand Pushing For Women’s Economic Rights
(WASHINGTON) Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is continuing her push for women's economic rights.
Wednesday, the U.S. Senator met with President Obama, White House officials and Congressional colleagues to discuss steps to help women and families succeed in the economy. Gillibrand says Obama listened to ideas for updating the workplace.
Gillibrand is looking to pass new legislation to create a self-funded paid family and medical leave insurance program. She says she will continue to work on this initiative in the months ahead.
