Accident Kills Monroeton Man
SOUTH TOWANDA, PA (WENY) -- A Monroeton man died this afternoon, after his truck went off the road and collided with a house and a garage.
According to the Bradford County coroner, 67 year old Pete Alesky, Jurnior was driving a 2011 Ford E350 on South Main Street around 12:46PM, when he left the road, and hit a house and garage at the intersection of South Main and Chapel Street.
Witnesses say the truck slowly drifted off the road before it hit the home. The corner says Alesky was not wearing a seatbelt, and was taken by ambulance to Towanda Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow to see if Alesky suffered a medical event prior to the crash.
The people inside the home hit by Alesky's truck were not injured.
