Suspect Wanted in Convenience Store Robbery

      SOUTHPORT, NY (WENY) -- The Chemung County Sheriff's Office has released this surveillance photo of the suspect in today's robbery at Jack's Convenience Store on Maple Avenue in Southport.
        Authorities say at 10:45AM, this man walked into the store, indicated to the clerk he had a gun in his pocket, and robbed the store. He then left, heading towards Cedar Street in Southport. The suspect is described as a white male over 200 pounds, 5'8" to 6' tall, with a scruffy beard and short hair. He was wearing tan pants, a white shirt with a blue jacket with white stripes on the side. He may be in his 20's or 30's.
