SPCA Shelter Groundbreaking
BATH - [WENY] On Thursday in Steuben County, the Fingerlakes SPCA broke ground at the site where a new 5,900 square foot shelter will be built.
The new shelter will feature more spacious animal enclosures, dedicated examination and observation areas, and expanded room for families to interact with adoptable animals. The new shelter will be replacing the existing shelter on State Route 54 in Bath.
Once the River's Edge Shelter is finished, the new facility will feature several programs that will do more than just shelter animals in need. The new facility is expected to be finished by August, and it is expected that animals from the old facility will be transferred over in early 2015.
