NY Flags at Half-Staff for NY Trooper
Flags will be flown at half-staff on government buildings in New York on Friday to honor a state trooper who died in car crash while on duty.
As we've been reporting, Trooper Amanda Anna died from severe head injuries after her patrol car overturned on a storm-slicked road Friday night north of Syracuse.
Governor Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday ordered flags to be flown at half-staff Friday, the day of the 31-year-old trooper's funeral.
HASTINGS (WENY)---State police say Trooper Amanda Anna who died Saturday after a car crash north of Syracuse turned around right before the crash, possibly to stop a vehicle.
Oswego New York State Trooper Anna died at a hospital from severe head injuries after the accident in Hastings.
Her patrol car overturned on a storm-slicked road just before 11:30 Friday night.
She had been heading west but a tracking system showed she turned to the east just before the crash.
The 31-year-old was a six-year veteran and mother of a 4-year-old son.
