Ulster Man On The Loose, Now In Custody

TOWANDA, Pa. (WENY) State Police in Towanda say they've arrested a Bradford County Man accused of assault, kidnapping and possesion of firearms.

Police say Christopher Shulas, 34, of Ulster was taken into custody around 10:30 Saturday night.

Shulas allegedly threatened to kill at 67-year-old woman and 68-year old man at their Ulster home.

Police say before they arrived, Shulas kidnapped a 29-year-old Binghamton woman, threatened to shoot her and forced her to drive him away.

Shulas allegedly fired a sawed off shotgun out the window during the ride but the victim was able to escape when they stopped for gas at Bishop's Gas station.

Shulas drove off towards State Route 220.

He was found a day later and taken to the Bradford county correction facility.

No word on charges against him.
