CORNING (WENY)--- You can send a Valentine's Day Card to Hospitalized Vets at the Bath VA.

 

Corning Rotary is in its 6th year of collecting and distributing the cards and since since 2008, over 10,000 Valentine's Day cards and well wishes have put smiles on the faces of veterans.

 

The Corning Rotary club says some of the cards over the years have found there way to Walter Reade Hospital, Metro DC and VA. and NY VA medical centers. Local cards have also reached Iraq and Afghanistan combat areas.

 

 In 2012, 3,900 cards were collected and distributed and this year, the goal is 5,000. Right now, 4,500 cards have been written.
