ELMIRA-- [WENY] Arnot Health has signed on to sponsor The 32nd annual Wineglass marathon weekend.
     Arnot health executives say it was just natural to become the presenting sponsor a world famous event like the wineglass marathon.
     Arnot sponsored the marathon on a smaller scale last year and now has committed to be the presenting sponsor of the marathon for three years.
     So now the marathon will be called The Wine Glass Marathon Presented by Arnot Health.
     This year's marathon, half marathon and 5K are scheduled for the weekend of October 4th.
     Other sponsors include community foundation, dick's sporting goods, and some local wineries.
     This is the first year a local company has kicked in enough to earn the title of Presenting Sponsor.
     "This is new and this is big and it's a typical thing for races to have a title or presenting sponsor, so it just demonstrates our impact and growth as a race nationally and even internationally," said Sheila Sutton, Race Co-Director.
     "It seemed like a natural fit for us to associate ourselves with an event so popular with area runners and it gives us an opportunity to be in front of them and make sure they know that we're here to support them and we want them to make good choices and stay healthy," said Dustin Hewitt of Arnot Health.
     Registration is open and will close once 2,500 runners register for the marathon, and 2,000 for the half-marathon.
     Organizers are still looking for volunteers.
