CORNING -- (WENY) Runners from all over the country are heading to downtown Corning this weekend and they're going to be hungry.
There are almost five thousand runners in this years race. Sorge's and Holmes Plate Restaurant on Market Street are getting ready for the crowds. And what is it that most people want? Pasta. Both restaurants are serving up the old classic.
Sorge's has a pasta buffet on Saturday, starting early to serve as many bowls as they can. And Holmes Plate is offering gluten free and whole wheat versions.
Teresa Bullock, General Manager at Sorge's Restaurant at 68 West Market Street said, "always, always a good weekend. Actually the Sunday, the actual day of the race, that evening is always a good night for us, very good night for us."
Kim Vang, General Manager at Holmes Plate at 54 West Market Street said, "we are booked, we actually had to stop booking for Saturday night because we have so many. A lot of large parties, 25's, 17's, Holmes Plate 54 we'll take them all."
Both restaurants will be open all weekend.
