Fire Alarm at Blue Man Group Show
ELMIRA (WENY) -- It didn't take long for the Blue Man Group to pack the house Wednesday night at the Clemens Center.
It also didn't take long for them to clear the house.
Clemens Center represenatives say theatrical haze from the Blue Man Group's performance set off a fire alarm, forcing a mandatory evacuation.
About 1,600 people were sent out in the cold, including WENY-TV News Director Scott Cook, who said the crowd was confused upon exiting the building.
The large crowd had to wait outside for about 15 minutes before authorities deemed the building safe to reenter.
The performance continued as intended after the incident.
