Fire at Horseheads Apartment Complex
HORSEHEADS (WENY) -- A fire at the Colonial Manor apartments in Horseheads Tuesday afternoon damaged two buildings, but no one was hurt.
Construction workers say they looked out a window and saw a construction trailer on fire, then quickly evacuated the building.
Firefighters had the fire under control in about 15 minutes.
The flames did not spread to the two surrounding apartment buildings on Sing Sing Road, but the heat melted the siding on both.
The trailer was filled with spray-foam insulation and construction equipment.
