WELLSBORO (WENY) -- The man who was inside the Wellsboro home that went up in flames Tuesday has died.

Pennsylvania State Police say 90 year-old Leon Curtiss was pronounced dead at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

He suffered severe burns from the fire on Reese Hill Road in Wellsboro. The fire caused extensive damage worth approximate 100-thousand dollars to the house.

No one else was home at the time.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Foul play is not suspected.
