Ithaca Shooting Suspect in Custody
ITHACA, NY (WENY) -- Ithaca police arrested their prime suspect in a shooting on Oak street last week.
22 year old Tyrell McCargo turned himself in a little after 8PM Monday, after learning he was wanted by police. As we reported, McCargo was the main suspect in a shooting last tuesday on the 100 block of Oak street.
He's now charged with 2nd degree assault and in the Tompkins county jail on $10,000 dollars cash bail.
The victim told police he was walking down Oak Street when he was shot in the rear end. Neighbors report hearing four to five gunshots at the time.
