Bicycle Boulevard in Ithaca
Ithaca (WENY) -- There's a new bicycle boulevard plan coming to Ithaca. Some of the larger streets already have bike lanes, but Mayor Svante Myrick says the city has a plan to make some quieter streets more bike-friendly. It calls for signs around the city to help navigate a bike boulevard. The plan will cost around $100,000.
"We just adopted the program, and we're very excited," said Myrick. "To fund it, we're looking for outside funding sources, but we may also borrow."
Myrick expects work to begin next year.
