Montour Falls (WENY) - There is something different brewing in Montour Falls that has locals and tourists talking. Montour Coffee House and Wine Bar is the first coffee house in the area to have their own roaster. The organic beans come in 150 pound bags from all over the world. Roasting a small batch of beans takes about fifteen minutes, and customers can specialty order any kind. Owner Maggie Martin says putting the roaster in her shop is bringing business in from locals and serious coffee fanatics
“It's the trend across the country to put a roaster in the coffee houses,” says Martin. “It's usually a coffee house when they look to expanding their businesses is looking towards a roaster instead of more food for example.”
Maggie says when the beans are roasting you can smell it throughout Montour Falls.
