Corning Man Charged with Rape

CORNING (WENY)---A Corning man was arrested and charged with rape.

State Police at Painted Post say Daren Phillips, 45, of Corning was arrested Saturday for engaging in sexual intercourse with a child younger than 14 years old.

Phillips also allegedly gave the victim alcohol.

He is charged with rape and unlawfully dealing with a child.

He was taken to the Steuben County jail on $25,000 dollars cash bail.
