Fatal Crash in Town of Wellsburg

TOWN OF WELLSBURG (WENY)---One person is dead and another injured after a car accident in the Town of Wellsburg.

Around 10 last night, Horsheheads State Police got several complaints about a driver on 86 eastbound.

By the time police caught up with the driver, the truck crashed off the side of an embankment and into the trees just past the intersection of Terrace Street and Front Street in the Town of Wellsburg.

Police tell WENY-TV News there were two people in the pick-up truck.

One person is dead and the other person is at Robert Packer Hospital in critical condition.

Exit 58 is back open this morning.
