ITHACA---(WENY) The City of Ithaca is continuing to crack down on guns control. Following the success of the IPD's gun buyback program, which brought dozens of firearms off the city's streets, officials are now giving out free gun locks. It's a joint initiative by the Ithaca Police Department and Tompkins County Sheriff Department. You can get as many gun locks as you want with no ID. They're giving them out today from 8am until 4pm at the Ithaca City Police Department on East Clinton Street and at the Tompkins County Sheriff's office in Lansing.
