Horseheads (WENY) - The Village of Horseheads is getting ready for their second annual art show this weekend, and the competition is heating up. Photographers, painters, and sculptors of all ages can enter the art show competition. Awards will be given to the top three in each category, decided by a public vote. Two paintings from early 19th century artist N.C. Wyeth will also be on display.
They're both worth nearly half a million dollars. Artwork from students participating in the horseheads school district logo contest will also be on display.
“It encourages the students at Horseheads high school the art classes there some of the students will be participating for a new Horseheads high school logo,” says Mike Skroskznik a Horseheads Trustee.
The art show starts at 2 o'clock on Saturday and ends at 4 o'clock at the village fire department at 134 north Main Street.
