CORNING, NY (WENY) -- Hundreds marched through Corning Saturday morning in the annual March for Babies.
It is March of Dimes nationwide walking event that raises money for babies born too soon or with birth defects. This year's event was held at Denison Park in Corning.
Some of the WENY crew were there participating in the walk. Kellie Meyer helped kick off the opening ceremonies along with the Snyder family, the Ambassador family for the day. They gave a moving speech and then, it was a 3 mile walk around Corning.
The Southern Tier March for Babies hopes to raise over$40,000 this year. We'll keep you informed of the results.
WENY was happy to be a part of a great cause.
