Vandals Damage Northern Tier School Building

Vandals Damage Northern Tier School Building

NEW ALBANY, PA (WENY) -- Pennsylvania state police are looking for the people who broke into a vacant Bradford County school building to steal copper.
Police say it happened sometime between January 3rd and 22nd, at New Albany Elementary School. The building is owned by Wyalusing Area School District, but is no longer in use. School maintenance workers discovered the damage.
Someone pulled down ceiling tiles and lights to get to copper pipes, and took pipes from the boiler system, and electrical wires. They also caused damage by breaking windows, and damaging telephones and intercoms.

Police say the suspects were driving a white pickup truck. They got into the building through a boarded up window that was previously broken by vandals.
