ITHACA (WENY)--The Southern Tier is home to two nationally recognized public schools.

Ithaca High school takes the 41st rank in New York and number 257 nationally.

And in Steuben county, Corning-Painted Post West High School is ranked 109th within New York.

That's according to a recent ranking in the US News high school ranking list released yesterday.

The Report covers over 22-thousand schools.

Results are based on college preparation, students performance and success, and test scores.
