PAINTED-POST---(WENY)A Lawsuit over bulk water sales in Painted-Post was filed in Rochester over the weekend.

     The Sierra Club, the Coalition to Protect New York along with five other people filed a lawsuit against Painted-post over bulk water sales to a Shell Oil company for hydrofracking in Pennsylvania. The plaintiffs want an injunction until the State Environmental Quality Review act conducts a report. The initial case was filed last June at the Supreme Court in Bath, but the judges set to preside over the case stepped down.Judge Kenneth Fisher will be taking over. Water shipments already began last August and stopped in September. Painted post Mayor, Roz Cozier, says water shipments may soon start up again.
