Painted Post Man Accused of Tampering with Evidence

BATH (WENY) --  New York State Police arrested a Painted Post man for his involvement in a 2013 accidental death in the Town of Erwin.

22-year-old Kyle Peaslee has been charged with tampering with physical evidence, a class "E" felony.

In February of last year, police found 22-year-old William Berleue dead at the Corning Inn.  An investigation revealed Berleue was huffing aerosol cans at the hotel.  His death was ruled accidental.

Police say Peaslee was in the room with Berleue and tampered with evidence but in no way contributed to his death.  He is due in the Town of Erwin court on March 18.
