Pudgies Celebrates 50 Years
HORSEHEADS -- [WENY] The business started off as a small family shop in Elmira in 1963 and now there's locations throughout the country.
The company's success was celebrated by giving back to the community through deals for food and hundreds sure took advantage of it.
Customers could buy pizza slices and pepsi products for 50 cents, or a large pizza for four dollars, and also got free Pudgies Tumblers. Even after 50 years, it remains a family business.
"We are extremely proud to have come this far and we owe so much all of the family that has helped us along the way and customers and all of the dedication of the employees. We just want to take this time to give back to some of the customers to show our appreciation," said Kristen Tarntino, Pudgie's niece.
And today, a new Pudgies in Syracuse officially opened.
