BATH, NY (WENY) -- The man convicted of trying to kill two New York State troopers will spend 40 years to life in prison.
A judge sentenced 39-year-old Richard VanGorden of Addison, for his November conviction on two counts of attempted murder, and other charges. In September 2011, VanGorden shot at state troopers during a chase that started after an attempted traffic stop in Hornellsville.
