Northern Tier Woman Charged with Forgery
WELLSBORO, PA (WENY) -- A Northern Tier woman is in the trouble with the law for allegedly stealing funds from an organization.
Sixty-six year old Dorothy Wyble of Tioga is charged with Forgery and Theft. Pennsylvania State Police say Wyble was the book keeper for Tioga Old Home Days. The organization's President notified police when she learned that some bills had not been paid in 2011 and 2012, and the bank account was nearly empty.
Police say Wyble had opened another account at a different bank, and had been transferring funds into it, as well as forging signatures to deposit checks. She's due to answer the charges in court later this month.
