TOWN OF CHEMUNG (WENY)---Police are investigating an assault in the town of Chemung.

State Police say, a 17 year old girl was jogging on North Road around 7 Friday night, when an unknown man assaulted her and then took off.

The teen was treated and released from the hospital.

The suspect is described as a slender white man between 20 and 30 years old, about 6 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say the suspect was driving a white GM Pick-up truck the one you see in this picture with a diamond plate tool box.

Police say this was a random act.
