A Canton Area High School senior was killed in the first accident at 7:46 a.m. Friday on state Route 14 in Canton. Brandon Robert McNett, 17, of 15 Newell Road, was driving a 2001 Saturn south when he swerved into the path of a 2008 Pontiac driven north by Theresa Allen of Roaring Branch. McNett was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his vehicle, said Cradford County Coroner Thomas Carman. Allen and two children in her car were taken to Robert Packer Hospital.
In Wysox, Edward Lee Lindquist, 45, of 53 Pipher St. in Towanda, was killed in the 10:27 a.m. accident when he pulled out of his driveway on a 1999 Harley-Davidson onto U.S. Route 6 into the path of a tractor-trailer driven by Jose M. Pedro of New Jersey. Lindquist was wearing a helmet, Carman said.
A husband and wife from Williamsport were killed in a head-on crash in Wells Township late Friday afternoon, said state police at Towanda, who investigated the three accidents. Killed in the 4:54 p.m. crash on state Route 328 were Ryan J. English, 35, and Karen E. English, 32. Their three children who were in the vehicle were taken to Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. Their names and injuries were not available. The driver of the other vehicle, Roegester Grays, 45, of Lawrenceville, also was taken to Arnot. His condition was not immediately available. Police said Grays was traveling west in a 2004 when his vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and into the path of a 2012 driven by Ryan English. All those involved in the accident were wearing seat belts or in child safety seats, police said.
