Cuomo's Approval Rating Down
NEW YORK (WENY) -- Governor Cuomo's approval rating has taken quite a hit since he passed the nation's toughest ban on assault weapons.
According to the latest Quinnipiac University Poll, Governor Cuomo's approval rating has dropped from an all-time high of 74 percent down to 59 percent, which is still considered pretty solid.
The poll comes after Cuomo passed the New York Safe Act -- banning assault weapons and high-ammo magazine clips.
Among voters without a gun in their household, Cuomo holds a 68 percent approval rating. Voters who do have a gun in their home have a 50 percent approval rating with the Governor.
The poll's margin of error was 2.9 percentage points.
