Air Conditioners for Needy Families

June 29, 2012
NYS (WENY) -- Low income New Yorkers with health issues that flare up in the heat could qualify for free air conditioners. Governor Cuomo says three million dollars has been set aside to help fund the low income home energy assistance program, which provides heat to needy families in the winter months.
To qualify for the free air, you must meet income guidelines, have a doctors note, and have someone in the house who is dangerously affected by extreme heat.
