Man-hunt Underway for Buffalo Doctor

BUFFALO (WENY)--- A nation-wide manhunt is underway for an up-state New York trauma surgeon wanted for killing his ex-girlfriend.

Police say Doctor Timothy Jorden, a surgeon at Erie County Medical Center, is the person of interest in a fatal shooting at the hospital on Wednesday could be armed.

The victim was identified by Buffalo Police late Wednesday night as 33-year- old Jacqueline Wisniewski, a receptionist at the hospital.

Four shots rang out near the David K. Miller building just after 8 in the morning

The shooting forced the campus into lock down.

Medical staff was ordered to stay inside while those reporting to work had to wait outside while S.W.A.T. teams searched for Dr. Jorden, who fled the scene.

Incoming patients were diverted to Buffalo General hospital.
