New York (WENY) - 70 people were taken into custody after New York's largest cock fighting bust in state history. Cock fighting is when two roosters fight to the death while the owners and spectators bet on the outcome. New York's Attorney general Eric Schniderman announced the arrests after "operation angry birds" turned out to be a success.
People were arrested in Brooklyn Queens and Plattekill New York. 70 people were arrested nine of them felonies and as many as 3,000 birds were found. The three county wide bust is also being called one of the largest in US history.
