ALBANY (WENY)---President Obama will be in the Empire State today.

Obama will travel to the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at SUNY Albany for an event on the economy.

The center is considered to be a national leader in the research and development of nanoscale science. Air Force One is scheduled to touch down a little before noon, and be back in the air by 3 o'clock.

Governor Andrew Cuomo will attend the event, but Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand are expected to be on Capitol Hill for the student loan interest rate debate in the Senate.
