Pennsylvania Sex Offender Registry For Juveniles

YORK, PA (WENY) Officials in Pennsylvania's highest court are debating whether if its constitutional for juveniles convicted of rape to register as sex offenders. Earlier today, the supreme court heard arguments between a York county prosecutor and a lawyer for the juvenile law center, over rulings from a previous case that didn't require seven defendants to register. The district attorney says that a lifetime registration is a collateral consequence for the crime. Juveniles over 14 years old are mandated to register for at least 25 years, if convicted.
