Gov. Cuomo Hosts Wine, Beer and Spirits Summit
Written By: Renata Stiehl
ALBANY (WENY) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo says the state will help promote the beer and wine industry, to boost jobs and help the industries grow.
Cuomo met with farmers, winemakers, brewers and others today for New York's first Wine, Beer and Spirits Summit. The governor announced plans for a new marketing campaign to promote state-produced beer, wine, cider, spirits and tourism. He also talked about reforming regulations to help producers bring down their costs.
New York is home to the top 20 brewers in the U.S., third largest wine and grape producers, and has the second most distilleries in the country.
