50 Million for NY Transportation Projects
February 11, 2014
ALBANY, NY (WENY) -- Governor Andrew Cuomo is also announcing he's applying for $50 million dollars in federal funding for alternative transportation projects like bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
He said his office is looking for projects that can grow local economies and create jobs while also contributing to cleaner and more resilient communities for years to come.
Projects like on-road and off-road trail facilities for pedestrians, bicyclists and other non-motorized forms of transportation will be awarded the money.
Up to 80% of the proposed project costs will be given out.
