Officer Killed in Webster Ambush Honored in Albany

ALBANY, NY (WENY) -- A police officer killed in the Christmas Eve ambush near Rochester is honored for his service.
      Webster Police Lieutenant Michael Chiapperini was one of four men William Spengler shot during the attack last year. Chiapperini's name is one 16 added to the Fallen Officers Memorial Wall in today in Albany. The memorial honors new york police officers who died in the line of duty.
       Chiapperini was also a volunteer firefighter with the West Webster Fire Department. He and fellow firefighter Tomasz Kaczowka died in the ambush that also wounded two other firefighters.
