Corbett Retracts Lawyer’s Statement
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is now doing some damage control.

Pennsylvania (WENY) - Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett is now doing some damage control. He's apologizing for a comparison made by his lawyers fighting the issuing of gay marriage licensees in Montgomery County.
As we reported yesterday, Corbett's lawyers compared marrying same-sex couples to marrying 12-year-old children.
Corbett is now apologizing for that statement. As we reported, Corbett's administration filed a lawsuit to block same-sex marriage licenses in Montgomery County. They've married more than 30 gay couples in the county, even though state law says marriage is between a man and a woman. Montgomery County Clerk Bruce Hanes says the law is discriminatory. He'll be in court next week.
