New York (WENY) – E-Cigarettes are becoming more and more common but New York lawmakers want to stop that. A bill in the state Legislature right now would set restrictions on smoking E-Cigarettes in public areas.
The New York State Conservative Party argue that people should make their own decisions and that the measure would continue the "Nanny State" role of government. Proponents of the bans say they are aimed at preventing the re-acceptance of smoking as a societal norm, particularly among teenagers.
