Ex-Senator Huntley Pleads Guilty
Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli and Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced Wednesday that former New York Senator Shirley Huntley has plead guilty to tampering with physical evidence, a class E felony. This comes after she reportedly falsified evidence in an attempt to halt an investigation into grant money that was stolen from her sham non-profit, The Parent Workshop.
Huntley and three others were previously indicted by the comptroller and attorney general as part of their joint Task Force On Public Integrity. Huntley's Parent Workshop was used to funnel money for her personal use and for the senator's neice.
