Flu Outbreak Brings On State Of Emergency

Governor Cuomo declared New York in a Public Health Emergency in response to the already severe flu season. To help curtail the outbreak, Cuomo also issued an Executive Order that allows pharmacists to administer flu shots to anyone between the ages of six months and 18 years.
Across New York the number of flu cases is exploding with up to 19,000 cases reported so far- nearly five times as many as last year. Cuomo is strongly urging New Yorkers who haven't gotten the flu shot to do so immediately.
