Gas Prices Low for Holiday Travel
(WENY)--- About 43.4 million Americans are expected to travel at least 50 miles during the Thanksgiving holiday. While gas prices are up a bit this week - this year motorists will pay the lowest price on thanksgiving in three years.
After falling for nine weeks, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is up 3 cents over the past two weeks and now stands at $3.25. This recent uptick in prices is most likely due to refinery issues in the gulf coast region - but the increases are expected to be short-lived.
Right now in New York we are looking at $3.60 for a gallon of regular and in Pennsylvania the price is lower at $3.37.
