ALBANY (WENY)---Governor Cuomo proposed better protections for about a million New Yorkers with disabilities and special needs on Monday.

And today we've learned the New York state agency responsible for the care of 126,000 disabled New Yorkers is trying to fire about 200 employees.

The agency also has a pilot program with video cameras in transport vehicles.

Cuomo is looking to help the disabled under state-funded care through a new agency with authority to investigate and prosecute abuse claims.
