The New York State Department has announced its Address Confidentiality Program or ACP. It's a program designed to help protect victims of domestic violence and spousal abuse from their attackers. Participants are issued a substitute address which is maintained by the Department of State and is used to pick-up all first class, registered, and certified mail which is then forwarded to the person's actual address.
