NY Makes The Grade On National Scale

ALBANY---(WENY) New York State schools recieved their 2013 report card and they passed with flying colors.
Education week gave New York State a 'B' or 83.1, ranking it third out of 50 states. Pennsylvania ranked 13th in the nation with a C+.
States were graded on their K-12 educational policy and performance, achievement, standards, assessment and accountability.
Maryland ranked first with a grade of 87.5 and South Dakota came in last with a D+. The country as a whole got an average grade of a C.
